GREENWICH, Conn. — A Norwalk man bought a million-dollar winning lottery ticket at a Shell gas station in Greenwich on Tuesday, the Connecticut Lottery Corp. announced.

Gil Gonzalez purchased a "$2,000,000 Diamonds" scratch game card for $20 and won a prize payout of $1.44 million.

He bought the winning game from the Shell station at 401 W. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich.
